Default i got the MAMMOTH today

This thing really is BIG and HEAVY, i have a question about the engine break in. All the book says is to start the engine after priming it with fuel, let it run with the glow plug ingitor for 10 seconds, the remove it and start driving the truck around with short quick throttle bursts for 2-3 miniutes, then kill the engine, let cool for 10 min the turn the HSN in an 1/8 of a turn, and repeat the procedure again and keep doing so untill you have about 45 min of run time in.

Should i stick to the book strictly?

Thanks

I would... that sounds like a heat-cycle method... one of the best methods out there.... let us know what you think of the Mammoth.

I tried to start my mammoth for the first time today, after about 5 min someone called me and i had to go, so i finally got to try it again about 2 hours ago and the damn pull starter broke, did not even start. and to top it off i my glow ignitor did not charge after being on CHARGE all night, i tried with one of my friends ignitors. While i am at work tomorrow my friend is going to the hobby shop for himself and i told him to pick me up a shaft start and a better glow ignitor,I must say i was dissapointed after 2 attempts of starting the mammoth the pull starter broke

That sucks... when I got my Revos... I kinda had the same problem... my batteries didn't charge enough... and neither wanted to start... so, I played with them for a while, and finally charged the batteries... and they started right up.... just keep going... sucks that the pull cord broke...

get a roto start alot more convenent i broke my pull start on like the 3 pull right when i got it lol so i got the roto it starts it up in 5 sec or less and i would suggest before u evan jump it 5 feet in the air that u get a shock tower brace but if u have extra money defintly the dadders rollcage it is the best support cage on the market for mammoth im picking one up in a week or so but good choice with the mammoth hope u like it

also look and see if your set screws are tight on your center drive shafts.

Wow... all these problems out of the box? I didn't think the Mammoth was that bad... my friend didn't have those problems... maybe you should take it back and exchange it... Lemon law, or something (too bad it doesn't work... and not even sure if that's a "law" in your state... AZ has a Lemon law, but it is only for 1:1 cars...)

Just keep going... hopefully you will like it once you get it started... it's definitely fast.
