Best tires for a loamy track?
Greetings fellow MT racers. My club track - which used to be near hard pack clay - was recently re-done and the track turned out to be super loamy. Almost like running on sand. Until it gets re-packed, I am having a problem getting my truck to hook up. I have tried the Kingpins, Panther Pythons (both med/soft and soft) proline 40 series bow ties and even the stock tires. Nothing seems to help much. So far, the 40 series bow-ties work best, but I still don't get very good traction. Anyone else run on a track like this, and if so, what are you using for tires?
I will be getting some Zombies to try, but my LHS doesn't have any in stock. No one at my LHS runs MT class, so they weren't much help.
My Thunder Tiger does OK with Crimefighers, but it's so much lighter you can't really compare the two.
Thanks, in advance, for any ideas!

I've always had real good traction on loose surfaces with the proline mulcher. The new crime fighter MT might work out ok too. I'll try mine at the next race.

I like my Crime Fighters [w/ stock foam] so far, but I need to loosen up my suspension on my Revo. I bounced around a lot .. Ran 40 Series Bow Ties before.

Panther Meat Grinders are also an excellent step-pin tread soft dirt/muddy track tire. I actually prefer them over the prolines as they have a bit more sidewall stiffness so your truck won't roll over the sidewall as bad in corners.

Those mulchers look good for loomy tracks!! I noticed a few guys running the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHGB4&P=ML]Sporttaxxas tires[/link] tires .
They seemed to have good results with the soft dirt we had for a while.

the traxxas sporttrax tires last a LOOOOOOOOOONG time... i ran my S-maxx for over 5 gals mostly parkinglot running and the tires still had at least 70% of the tread left... plus the 2 stage foams are great in em. IMO the meat grinders are better for a really loamy track, and the mulchers are better for a packed / loam track since there are less spikes and the spikes are bigger.. cant go wrong either way! And since im a piuc *****, heres another pic.. ya can see the hole in the rear tire in this one.. been there for awhile and i have never had a prob with it.. the foams are even still good after about 2 yrs!
