What Monster truck to get????
What is a super strong bashing monster truck. Is the LST a good one or the Revo?? It will probably be crashed into rocks when at wot. I broke the xxx-nt so many times so im going with somthing stronger. Reverse is important to cause my nt gets stuck all the time.

RE: What Monster truck to get????
I got a revo and I have yet to break it and I crash quite a bit.
one of my friends has a lst and its pretty tuff but the ball cups pop off all of the time even in a mild cart wheel.
If you want a real tuff truck get the MGT its almost unbreakable.

Seriously, my REVO breaks less than anything else I have, seems to have survived me learning how to jump with only one broken a-arm, and once I replaced all of those with the RPM arms haven't broke a thing since.

I heard that the MGT is really slow. But it is almost the size of a real car so thats to be expected. Ya know I had a nerf ball but I threw it over the fence so I got an rc car instead.

The mgt is slow. it might hit 35. but you can be sure it won't leave you stranded with a broken truck.
You can also put a wasp .28 in it and will haul ***

I does anyone have any vids to prove how tough these cars are. I know the Revo is cause of that vid at traxxas.com where it does that backflip and nosdives into the ground. Id buy the truck for that alone.

dont get the revo its a piece of junk my brother has it and the video on traxxas.com was sweet but it probably had all aluminum parts on it so it didnt break. get the mgt 4.60 comming outin september it has a .28 in it i already pre ordered it. i would not get a revo seeing what my brother went through. it breaks almost everytime he uses it its not as tough as some people say.

that revo is completely stock, he was discussing the jump in a forum
the revo is an awsome truck
the mgt is also a pretty awsome truck
but for seriously crashing the crap out of something go savage...its tougher than any rc ive ever seen bone stock.

Yeah thats what I said with my xxx-nt but since it doesnt have reverse you get stuck alot its a pain. Stadium Trucks break to easily anyway at least for the bashing im doing. of course i knew xxx was a racing truck before i got it. Just couldnt get the picer jato. just couldnt do it[:'(]

RE: What Monster truck to get????
For something to bash the snot out of, I'd go with the Savage. A reverse module and extra servo is cheap enough.
My Savage has survived 20 foot falls with no damage. I've driven on very rocky Adirondack motocross tracks, for hours on end, and only bent a shock shaft and snapped one dog bone. The truck is just bombproof. When it comes to jumping and running into obstacles, it's hard to beat the toughness of a Savage.
I love my Savage enough that I bought a second one.

For bashing Savage all the way. I have friends with Revo(always afraid to take the big jumps) and MGT so slow. For racing I'm looking at the Mayhem ST, even though I didn't drive it yet it seems like a good performer because it's based on the Mayhem buggy chassis. Someone let me know how it drives, thanks. -

Here's a pic.
My MGT on left, my LST in center, and my .21 Tmaxx on right.

You are not trying hard enough
Seriously though, the MGT is quite durable after RPM arms mine has not had any problems. Also my LST has been very durable as well. I have broken a couple of the stock arms but they are easy to get at my LHS and they don't have RPM arms yet. Between the 2 trucks if money was no object the LST would get my vote. But you would be happy with the MGT as well. And of course there is the Savage too, very strong truck as well but seems a little clumsy compared to the new trucks out there.

RE: What Monster truck to get????
From personal experience you have to decide what is going to work for you. What parts are easy to get and ease of maintence.
I personally can vouche only for the toughness of the revo. I have had one for about 9 months and have yet to brake anything.
Which has been a huge surpise to me. It was my first nitro, and the first RC in a long time, (ie alot of learning curve and crashing)
I have taken it off of varying jumps with no probs. I thought I broke something for sure when I missed my ramp and slammed into a railroad tie at about 35mph!
The revo is also very easy to maintain and comes with the easy start system, which is better than jerkin a string any day. A big plus also if you decide to make a jump to racing not much is needed. ( like a different vechile if you get a big bulky truck)
But again it comes down to a personal assesment of what you want/need/afford.
