Default T-MAXX twin!!!!

Just got back from a local vacant lot. Ran into a local mechanic there, he's built himself a twin .15 powered t-maxx. It's got custom a frames in the front, custom aluminum chassis, custom you name it!! Push pull throttles and still has brakes! It is one awesome rig. Will try to snap some pics next time I see him, I've never seen anything like it. It is big enough that he has to run a 1/8 scale body on it.

Default T-MAXX twin!!!!

It's not mine, it belongs to a mechanic in town. I wish it was mine!!! He had to fabricate drive shafts, turn buckles, pillow blocks and all. Looks like it would bounce over anything. I imagine it'll be for sale soon tho. He likes to build em, but doesnt use them much. He is THE premeir hot rod builder around here. Tell him what you want and throw a bunch of cash at him and he can do anything!!!!

Default T-MAXX twin!!!!

I saw a twin T maxx on ebay but it wasn't finished. There is also a pic of a twin something in the gallery here on the RCU.
Always wondered how the engines would sync up.
2 engines=twice the trouble!Sounds sweet though!

Default What's the big deal with twin 15's???

Try something bigger, like twin fourstroke 40's.

Default T-MAXX twin!!!!

The twin Tmaxx was done over a year ago you are correct, look here for the info on the First twin-> Project Twin, but it was a .15 twin. There are twin .21's out there and even one you can buy as a kit. This is the first twin FS40 to be built.
Specs on the truck:
Custom chassis 1/4"longer 3/4" wider than a stock Tmaxx 5mm thick
Custom aluminum adjustable shocktowers
Custom transmission skid/mount
Monster Pirate transmission (solid shaft)
Stock Tmaxx front and rear suspension and drivetrain
(2) OS FS40cx fourstroke engines w/FS91 exhaust
Ofna 1/8th scale 3 shoe clutch assemblies
Gearing 16/65 with a direct drive transmission (no tranny gears)
Speed ??? Calculated to run about 33 mph at 21,000 rpm's
Here are a few pic's while building.
