why does the revo and tnx go fast with .15 and .18 engines and losi lsts and savages have to use big motors to go as fast. there all 1/8

Small block trucks are generally lighter. Requiring less torque to get moving, relying on HIGH rpm's of the small block for top speed.
Big block trucks such as the LST way quite a few lbs. more. Requiring a larger motor, with more torque. Taking advantage of that torque, and proper gearing to acquire high top speeds.

TNX - 9.5lbs
Savage 25 - 11.2lbs
MGT - 12lbs
LST - 13lbs
A few pounds might not seem like much, but keep in mind, going from 9.4 to 13 pounds is a nearly 40% increase in weight.

o.s. powered revo and then a race prepped LST, THEN TNX,MGT. I USED TO RACE AGAINST A LST (2DMAXX) and it was pertty fast. he hade a bunch of carbon fibre parts on it and lowered the weight right under 12 pounds. if you compare the power to weight ratio the LST is higher making it faster out of the box. the revo at 9.5lb with 1.3hp. and the lst at 13lb with 2.5hp. the lst has about 45%more weight but has over 85%more power...

But a TRUGGY its a whole totallly different animal than a monster truck ... i dont know why people keep comparing a Jamming Truggy with a revo, o rtmaxx or ... ...
