What parts should we stock for MT & Truggies?
We are stocking up our hobby shop. We carry Cen (Nemesis & Matrix), Kyosho (Mad Force, 777, RRR, Mini Inferno, Evolva), Traxxas (Revo & Tmaxx), Mugen (MBX-5, MTX, MRX), HPI (savage), Hot Bodies (Lightning truggy/buggy), OFNA (Jammin truggy/buggy).
I would greatly appreciate it if those that actaully OWN any of these vehicles would write down their vehicle and the parts that are most commonly broken. In other words, what would your fantasy hobby shop carry for YOUR TRUCK.
Feel free to list stock replacements and the hop-ups you feel are the most common.
Obviously this is the MT Forum, so please only address MT's / Truggy's (don't want to upset the moderators).
I appreciate your input. Your opinion counts!

I love the Genesis. The only things I have had to replace are the Pinion gears, 1st mainly (from improper mesh, very easy to do, READ CEN DIRECTIONS!!! LOL), upper control arms, bumpers, and thats about it for me. Yough as nails.
Also, It did not look like you carry any sportwerks stuff. The Mayhem ST is a great truggy. And it now comes with spektrum radio in a RTR package. My local track was selling it for 500+tax. And thats with the spektrum. Great way to get a nice race setup with quality radio on the cheep. Parts seem to be pretty cheap also. Just my 2 cents.

For the LST (original) stock aluminum diff cases, RPM arms, Lunsford camber links for the RPM arms, RPM gear cover, TiNi gears, Dynamite throttle linkage, and see if you can get your hands on some B.A.C. steering links as they are rock solid.

For TMaxx, the only thing that I constantly replaced was the ezstart gears. I have the original Tmaxx, so I also wanted the wide arms, I think they are standard on the Tmaxx with 2.5 engine. Other than than, maybe a broken arm or two.

Please try and be specific when you put down products. Besides "good pipes", please put what YOU consider Good Pipes. I want to make sure we have what you (the customers) want, not what I think is a good pipe.
Appreciate the posts, please keep em coming.

For the Kyosho Mad Force. I usually replace the diff gears and link arms. Savage spider gearsets are a pretty common hopup for them too. Those are the only parts ive bought in the past 3 years.

RE: What parts should we stock for MT & Truggies?
What you should be asking is what NOT to stock. There are too many aftermarket parts for people to list. Do you want to stock engines? Then get the Collari's (.30, .32 etc) and the Racers Edge Surefire .32 - I could list many. Same for pipes - Gotta have the JP1 and 2, as well as the Top/novarossi 9853. I could sit here and make a list that would never end! Just keep as many stock parts on hand as you can for the vehicles you carry. Factory hop ups are usually a must as well.
What you want, is to know what is crap - like Integy and Hot Racing, hop ups that are useless to buy. That is a list that is much shorter, and therefore should be more useful. JMO. If I were opening a shop, thats what I would want to know.
