Anyone know this truck?
I bought this truck in while on a company visit to Hong Kong in December. It comes RTR with a Vertex .21 engine, runs good and is a quick truck. What little I can find on the internet it seems to be made by a company called HI-Speed and seemed to be sold in the UK, I haven't found any shops here in the US yet.
If you know anything about it, I would like to hear your experience with it and find out about parts.
Thanks!

RE: Anyone know this truck?
I've seen a HI SPEED bazooka my friend had. It was quite a nice little buggy. He had a hard time getting parts for it so i think he sold it. Hopefully you can find a supplier now as this was a year or more ago.
Good luck

Check out this ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/EXPORTPRO-INTERNATIONAL-ONLINE
He sells a brand called Himoto. I think they are made by the same people because he advertises some ads as HIMOTO/HI-SPEED

No, it's not from smartech
just another Chinese manufacturer.
Don't suppose all these stuff are lemon thing, it's about the market strategy. They can make as good products under their own brand but that will take much money in advertisement, so they just do OEM for other foreign companies, a bit near sighted though. Many products from different brands are actually made in China, it's just that you didn't know .

RE: Anyone know this truck?
Guys, thanks for all the comments. I did check out the ebay link and the Himoto is very close to what this truck is.
Dustin, I have since learned that you are correct the 1/8 scale Bazooka buggy was this company HI-Speeds first product followed by this truck last year. The best site I have found is in UK www.supermonkey.co.uk
Here is a more detail photo of the truck, what do you think about the design? It looks like a buggy with truck wheels.
Well I paid $200 US for it, but next time I going with something off the US self. Its been fun so far, but if it breaks it could take some time to repair

Try this site redcat racing.com I think you may find all the parts you may need. I have an Exceed 1/10 buggy which is also a Himoto buggy under another name which is also a Redcat tornado and all parts are available here. Check out the Redcat thread here on these forums. I'm sure they will help you. Good Luck, Steve

RE: Anyone know this truck?
Just for your sake I hope it's not a smartech TORNADO 1/6 SCALE. If it is I have a number that might be able to help u out. I dont want to post it because I dont want him to change it. I had the worst luck with that truck. First time I tried to start it the truck took off like a roket, it hit my house and there was smoke, a screaming motor, it looked like the house was on fire. I am a double amputee, and my 10 yr old son was scared to death. The next day we tried to start it again, this time a broke the pull start. It took me 5 or moore e-mails to import house- Smartech- Scorpia. It took a negitive reply on feedback for them to finally contact me. They sent me a new pull cord, 2 weeks later. Then I was having a hard time with the transmitter. The truck would just take off and you couldnt control it. I got in touch with the company, they wanted me to buy a newcontroller. I wound up trying my t-maxx reciever. remote w/ crystal. I havent had a problem since. But It coast me like 40 dollars. Noe somehow its running on 2 wheel drive. I donr see anything broke. I have had the truck for four months, I still havent run a gallon of fuel. With my traxxas I burn a gallon a month. I just figured I would warn ya. I dont know if its the same truck. Mine is sponsered by FORD. Let me know what you find out. If you can get parts or if you know tha factory settings I could use those. Thats another thing. The truck I got has a different motor then what was discribbed. It was a 27cxr and I git a 25cxr. They told me it was a upgrade, but they dont have the paperwork on it. Good luck, sorry to babble but I think it's the same truck. Darren [email protected]
