tough choise
hey guys im loookin at getting an lst2 or a revo, i want a truck that handles aswell as being able to take a fair bit of abuse and something that is reliable as in good engine and stuff.
i have heard alot of mixed things about the revo like people saying the engine doesnt have a goood bottom end and doesnt hold tune.
are there any out of the box problems for the lst2 and how does the handeling compare to the revo?
thanks.

RE: tough choise
i dont have a lst2 but i have a revo. I have heard notihng but good things about the lst2. It also comes with a 150 dollar radio. The revo's stock engine (trx2.5r) the low end is ok and it holds an ok tune but not like many other engines. I put a O.S. .18 in mine. Now it has a lot of power and i love it. I still want a last2 and a savage. I am pickin up my savage tuesday.

Considered the Mammoth ST? For the money you'll save over the others, pick up some Dadders.net chassis braces and some Bigair.com lower arms and you are on your way to one solid, great handling truck. The diffs require shimming, which is cheap and easy, and a center diff upgrade will allow you better tunability, faster off corner acceleration, brake biasing, etc.
Just a thought, since you are XTM racer

RE: tough choise
Once you get over the $400 mark, all the trucks are relatively equal. They all have good points, bad points, and they all break when you crash.
Since it appears that you plan on racing, I'd say your best bet is to go to the track where you will be racing and see what everyone else has. I'm not saying you should go out and buy the same thing that everyone else has, but I think getting a vehicle that is in the same class with the biggest turn out is the most fun. Also, I would add that if you get a truck that is common to your track, you will have someone (or many people) to share setup tips with. As far as the Revo or LST2, you will love either of them, as they are both great trucks!
Another good reason to go to the track is to check out the rules. At our track, your racing truggies with the Mammoth ST, not MT's.
