RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
Gen LE owner..... I love bashing this thing, it really is pretty fast for it's size. I beat it within an inch of it's life I think. Last time out I landed on the head soo hard it shattered the top two fins, and kept on truckin. This thing jumps much higher and farther than I could believe. It will actually roll right over another MT .

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
I tried a backflip and it landed right on the head must have been 6ft or better, how could I hold cen at fault for that? I was just suprised the motor mount didn't break and strip all the gears.
So who else around here bashes these trucks?

Why don't I ever hear about these trucks. They look just goofy big. Are they any good quality wise. Also, are there any hop ups for these genisis's and nemisis's.

umm well they are big and the genesis can be "goofy" at times (its heavey and the suspension is "mushy" ) but the nemmi is straight G for really[&o] (not joking) and no there is barely any after market for it but you really dont need it. lets just say there aftermarket parts for where it counts.

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
aren't you in a thread about them? They are pretty big, 1\5 scale are even bigger. Their quality is no better or worse than anyone else's. Every truck has a couple flaws! New Era has some aluminum parts for them, as well as a couple others.
I bought it just because I was sick of the cookie cutter mold typical MT's out there, they all look like ST's, same tires same engine same body style. I just wanted something different than I already have, good bad or in-different.

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
revo cant even move the nemesis i had my nemesis sitting in the grass it wasnt even running my brother tied a string from his ws72 revo to my nemesis to try and drag it he couldnt even get it to move all the revo would do is pull the front end up and flip over. he was trying to be a wise guy and only ended up embarassing himself.

I tried my genesis at local clubs few times.. its actually pretty competitive against other MTs. I am not the best driver out there but this truck does soak up the bumps very well.. it also corners and jump very well despite the size of genesis

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
well im still deliberating. Nemesis or upgrade my tmaxx idk.
i kno for a fact that the tmaxx can race but its just soo ... blah
nemesis is crazy and stuff but idk about it racing. i guess the desiding factor is; does the pro-line powerstrokes fit on the nemesis.
can someone messure the nemisis or genesis shocks from eye to eye AND from very top to very bottom. TiA!!!
ps. BUMP!!!

I dont think it will fit, but i dont see why you must use the powerstorke shock either. None of the racers i know actually use that setupon their TNX, T-maxx...etc

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
I have a set of powerstrokes, if nobody knows I'll look into it for you tonight as I currently don't have them nearby. What would concern me is the weight, we all know the nemesis is not the lightest MT..... The powerstrokes are very heavy shocks and I feel for racing you want to go the other way. Possibly a 4 shock setup?? I have seen guys run savage shocks on a genesis. I just don't know if you are gonna find a 4 shock setup that will work well. Maybe Integy LST shocks?? Cen does have an aluminum body shock available.....

RE: Official Gen/Nemisis Thread
well i really dont care about the weight factor because im gonna use one servo and that will save some weight and im not gonna use a reciever/battery box. also a vantage tuned pipe will save weight. i just needs great shocks to help it turn and IMHO there are no better RACING shocks than teh powerstrokes, they are tooo advance.
plus i think a 5hp (claimed, probably more like 2hp) that will be modded by either eb or rb mods will push the truck good (hopefully closer to 5hp if not more)
