I have a monster gt. I really like it. It is pretty fast and handles really well. I have heard of a lot of people racing them, and they fair pretty good. I think it is a well rounded truck. This is my personal experience.

read through the forums... you'll find tons of posts on this.

The answer is, you'll get no answer because everyone has their own opinion. Pick which one you like and think will be good... chances are if it's HPI, Team Losi, or Traxxas you'll be fine. MGT's are pretty nice too but i've never used one so i don't know much about them. Revo, LST and Savage are all good trucks.

Well I have a Savage SS 4.6 and i really dont like it for racing at all....But in my opinion i belive it is the best bashing truck and a good truck for newbs because the engine is really easy to tune....I do not have a revo but It handles like it is on rails at really any speed....it is a really tough truck also but it would take a savage on the track anyday.....but the 2.5 is preatty hard to tune...but it sound really awsome when the rpms tack out...(revs real high).....so if your going to be doing bashing and racing i would go with the Revo....there are tone of aftermarket parts and many people know about them so you can find help preatty easy....this is just my opinon though....

for the last time... MGT and Savage are not race truck.... they never will be..

Besides the Truggies, CEN Nemesis 7.7 / Tamiya TNX/ LST are your best opinions

I had a t-maxx trashed it and bought a LST2 that thing is sweet tons of power great engine runs between 175-200 depending on how hard you drive it she is race ready the only thing that I didnt like was the price little high but it is worth every penny to the right person Kurt

LMAO so a mgt is not a race truck but an lst and a cen nemesis are hmm? your very confused!! A mgt properly set up is a great racer!! Myself and thousands of mgt racer's have proven that point!! The tnx is good but you'll need cvds and there is still an issue because the only cvds made are alloy and they were out real quick!!and not alot of stores stock tnx parts. A savage with lgc tvps and a few other mods makes a great racer. The rock concepts savage/owner races with truggies and he win's sometimes!! so you see rc30gtr with some knowledge and aftermarket you can make a great racer outta any mgt/savage/lst.

I'll admit that a Savage isn't much of a racer out of the box, but to say that they will never be a good racer is a silly statement. If anyone with this same opinion lives anywhere near southeastern NC, come to my local track and I'll change your mind. Mine isn't the fastest thing out there, but I certainly don't get embarrassed when running with other MTs.

I am sorry Jammin Lee, sorry that you hate the monster gt, you wanted a good basher and a decent racer, and many responded, the gt is a well rounded truck. And what true monster truck is actually a great racing truck, i mean yeah they are heavy, high center of gravity.
