warhead reverse prob
I just bought the warhead duratrax
Only had it about 6 hours its my first gas rc car and I love it so far
The problem is I hit a fence today breaking it in it wasnt hard or nothing and after that I cant get reverse to work
think I broke something or bent something?
Another question is aftermarket parts do they have any like metal or composite control arms and skid plates for them?
And I cant seem to make it idol quite right well I can male it idol good but if I hit the breake it stalls

RE: warhead reverse prob
I am a newbie so take my experience with a grain of salt.
During break in my reverse didnt work well either. if you take off the front bottom skid plate and manually move the link to the servo it worked smothly all except with slight pressure downward. i put a drop of after run engine oil in that area and it works pretty well now. when you switch from forward to reverse stop the truck but release the break and slightly gun the throttle. For me it kicks right over now just took a little time to figure out the personality of the thing. Second gear for me did not ever work until after breaking in the engine and further tuning it up (my high speed needle is almost exactly four turns out from closed but becarefull, lean it to much especially when new and it runs very hot). Now it works wonderfully.

well yes the break part is becuase the idle screw was backed to far out. It actually looks to short I took the carb apart and looked at it but I did get it to stop pulling it back to far with the idol screw.
I plan on putting an HPI carb on when I get it back, maybe they will just send a new truck but who knows.

no lol didnt have to I took it apart to look at it
let me ask you this if you grab the end where the linkage attaches to the carb does it move more that say 2-3 mm? I think it would be called slide throttle

HEY I FIXED THE STALLING JUST DO THIS ...... Your idle stop screw is a setting that allows the carb to close to a certain point but without actually closing all the way. If its set to closed, then when you apply the brakes the carb closes and shuts off. Turn it in 1/8 of a turn. Also when you do this turn off the engine and have the carb open so you dont end up stripping the screw point and end up with a twisting carb like we all had happen to us(this way theres no pressure on it).
