Maxx Revo wheel extenders?

Has anyone tryed these. Do they work for widening the stance. Drawbacks? If anyone has tryed them Id like to hear your thoughts. I'm wondering how much extra stress they put on the bearing carriers and the arms and such.
By looking at them it looks like they are held on with the just the axle pin and an o-ring to kep the pins from sliding out. Does that look secure to a you guys? I suppose if the fit is tight enough over the axle pin it should be ok with the axle pin just keeping it from sliding off.
If anyone has tryed them please chime in. I am considering tyring them to get a little extra width between the wheels so I can mount a 200mm touring car body and not have the wheel rub when I turn. All I need is anouth 5mm per side to make it work.
