I just chose the Savage over the T-Maxx but with very careful and hard consideration. The biggest reasons that I finally choose the Savage was because 1) It handles better and 2) To make it faster, all you need is an engine upgrade...The T-Maxx 1) doesn't handle as well (out the box) and 2) you have to do a .21 chassis conversion to upgrade the engine... However, the pros and cons of these two machines are just about endless... I believe that no matter which one you get, you will be satisfied (to say the least) ... I'm still waiting for mine to come in....just waiting and waiting and waiting....
P.S. Most companies "RTR" stands for Ready to Run.
The T-Maxx's "RTR" stands for Ready To Race.
The Savage's "RTR" stands for Ready To Reasemble.
Just joking, but kind-of true...however, i still chose it.

get the savage,i have one and also the new t max,the t max is faster but does not handle very well at those higher speeds,so what good is it if you cant control it. the savagehandles like a freakin dream and is much more durable than the t max,i am getting very discouraged with this t max, every time i take it out something breaks, this is getting old quick. just got home from the park an hour ago ,took both trucks over a minor speed bump the first jump with the t max at half throttle the rear drive shaft broke, the savage took the speed bump several times without incident...good truck....good truck.....get the savage
