RD Logics Starter Box for REVO - Charging
As part of a package I purchased on eBay, I received an RD Logics starter box. It's supposed to have a new gel cell in it. My question is how do I charge it? I came with no wall charger. There are positive and negative jacks in the front, but I assumed those are for a glo starter and not charging.

ok, to charge the gel cell, go to a local automotive store and get a batter tender, or go to your LHS and they should have wall chargers for them, they run from about $10-$15 or so. Second the plugs on the side of the box are for a 12V power source and not for glow plug igniters, you will cook your glow plug if you use straight 12V. If it has a power panel on it like http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHCA1&P=7 you could use it for a glow plug. Hope this helps.

is it a 12 volt wall charger then yes, if its the wall charger for RX pack and TX packs, then no it will not work. What you need is http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHVV0&P=7 or a regular car battery charger will work as well.

Can a gel cell battery be charged at 5 amps with no trouble? I have been charging mine at 3 amps and want to go higher but don't want an explosion
