what screen stuff? If you are talking about inside the pipe, i would avoid it. If you have a coupling based exhaust system, you could make the pipe meet the header as close as possible and that would increase bottom end grunt

If you have "screen stuff" inside your exhaust pipe, get it out. It is not suppose to be there and didn't come with it from the factory. Look at the picture of the exhaust in this link http://www.tamiyausa.com/pdf/43508_t...and_engine.pdf (warning, it takes awhile to load). There is a baffle in the pipe, labeled as MV1. If you remove that it will give a little more low end power (grunt).

no, it won't hurt anything - it'll be a little louder and have more low end "grunt"....
