Default cen magnum

hello just buught my son a magnum for christmas, and the brakes dont seem to be sharp enough to stop the thing.is that normal, would you normally have to adjust the brakes before running it.... i know about the trim on the controller.and i can get the brakes to work if i unscrew the retainer on the brake rod and slide it right down almost next to the other one.but that doesn't look right.HELP PLEASE

Adjusting the linkage on a RTR vehicle, is very normal. This is something you should learn, and become comfortable with. Enjoy the truck!
