Default Need a Buggy engine.. please help me choose!

Hey all!
Well the Black magic got sold.. so I'm in the market for a high end .21

I'm looking for another Black magic..
But also looking at other choices:

RB
Sirio
Novarossi.

What will hapen if I put an on-rooad motor into a buggy?
Like a Novarossi R1 Race?

If you know of any good engines please let me know!
Thanks
ram

Short-stroke on-road .12's are not recommended for off-road use. They simply don't have the torque necessary to move those heavy 1/8-scale single-speed cars. Besides, the heatsinks are too small to effectively dissipate the excess heat.

Stick with off-road engines for buggies.

Default .21 buggy engine

One of the best engines ive seen is the Novarossi/Top 21sbk with the boost chamber. I have owned two novarossis and absolutely love them. During break in the can be very finicky, but after that the tune becomes rock solid and the power outrageous!! If youre running 1/8 scale I would strongly recommend staying with a purpose built engine. Another good engine brand is R.B. Concept, ive had one of those as well, but it was the sport model and nowhere near as powerful as the Top 21 SBK . Just my two cents!! Hope i helped

Thanx for listening....errr reading

Huh???.....Me make fun of "YOU"??? NEVER MY FRIEND!!!!

Actually...I was curious to know if you had already bought an engine for your buggie? I saw the engine in the link and thought of you.

Now there....doesn't that make you feel warm and fuzzy all over....knowing I had your welfare in mind!

An affordable way to build good power with really stout low end torque is a Force/Ofna .25 that has been ported with a CVEC pipe. This combination running on 20% will expose any faults in your buggys ability to put the power down. I've always felt a certain satisfaction beating or running heads up against the fancy schmancy Italian killer motors with Asian junk.

Well guys I went ahead and bought the motor.. so might as well..
But: I do need a crappy cheap motor (.21) I dont care about power output.. just need a donor to turn it into a diesel..
If you have one for like $25 shipped let me know
Now I gotta figure out where I can get the fuel hehe

Allright Cary dont start now! lol!
