Default Hey! My old Xfactor is on eBay!!!

I miss this thing... I already offered the guy the price that he bought it from me for. We'll see what he says. Funny how he says he 'fully hooked it up'. I did everything to that truck and not a thing has changed since...

He failed to mention the custom drag links, steering setup, upper link mounts, cold air induction, TMaxx drive shafts, LST rod ends, etc., etc. I did a pretty good job on that truck, if I say so myself.

I've got one I'll sell, the shocker.
Also do you post on fullsizebronco under the same screen name?

I already have an X-Factor... I just want MY X-Factor! RCCA even contacted me to do an article on the truck, but I didn't have it anymore. I still have the editor's contact info, so I still might be able to get my blood and sweat published.

I did post under the same username on fullsizebronco, yes! I sold my F150 about 6 months ago and haven't been on since.

Looks like the guy will take my offer... No way I could build it for what I am offering him.

Plus the Xfactor is already getting rare. I guess I will just sell the Xfactor I bought or use it for spare parts.

I am going to do-

another body
better wheels and tires
4 wheel steering
lighting
stainless hardware
bigger mill
longer, wider and taller...

and much more...

I am still completely stoked about how this went down. The guy is really cool, and was excited to return the truck to it's rightful owner. Apparantly it was bought/sold one more time even since I sold it about a year ago. I know it's just an RC, but after hours of my own time and as well as it came together, I regretted selling it. If I get tired of it again, I will just put it in a box and pull it out every couple of years to show it off.

I remember having to give some guys at a machine shop 2 cases of beer ($30) to machine the front/rear diff pinion gears for the Maxx shafts. The stuff was hardened and probably broke $30 in tools while they did it.

hey man thats pretty sweet. Kinda reminds me of watching trucks when they go back and show where their projects have ended up. The one truck was found at a used car lot and almost every performance upgrade was stripped off the truck and back to stock lol. Anyways good to hear your getting it back. Just wondering how much you pay for it? thats if you dont mind

Dale does that wheelie bar even work on that truck? Just seems like it would flip right over OR scrape on the pipe and then flip lol cool truck!

I paid $425 to get it back.... I paid considerably more to build it in the first place. All of those blue XTM Al mods were a small fortune. I am not sure about the wheelie bar to be honest... It probably isn't functional, you are right. She was/is a a shelf queen! I have a runner to beat the snot out of.

So, I decided to add up how much this truck would cost to build...

T-Maxx 2.5 half shafts... $7.69
M-Maxx brake adapter aluminum T-Maxx... $4.59
T-Maxx brake disc... $2.69
T-Maxx 2.5 Tranny output yokes... $5.79
XTM Al Cantilever mounts ($19.99x2)... $39.98
XTM Al Cantilevers ($29.99x2)...$59.98
XTM Al Link Rod mounts ($24.99x4)...$99.96
XTM Al Wheelie bar set... $29.99
XTM Al Chassis plates... $59.99
Hot Bodies Chopper Wheel/Fireball Tire 7.7" ($39.99x2)...$79.98
HPI Savage Axles ($12.99x2)... $25.98
Hitec HS-645MG... $38.99
Giga Crusher Air Cleaner set... $19.00
Reedy Rx flat pack... $21.99
ACNCM cooling head... $11.00
LST Rod ends ($5.39x2)... $10.78
Proline Chevy Body... $25
Drille front/rear pinion gears for Maxx shafts... $30

That doesn't include the custom linkage and link mounts I did, plus I started out with an X-Factor 1 and picked up all of the X-Factor 2 blue chassis parts. That was about $40, and the Xfactor how I bought it was around $150.

So, the total cost of this project for me originally was around $764 + $30 or so in raw materials...

Exactly... Since I made custom suspension rod links and steering linkage, drilled and tapped em, made custom upper link mounts, modded the skids, retrofitted the Maxx shafts, custom fit the aircleaner, etc., the price was down. If I had to buy all of that stuff, it would have been over $1k.

Where did you find that Giga Crusher Air Cleaner set? I whan't one for my t-maxx, I figure somehow I could probably get it to even be functional. I've been looking all over for one!

My local hobby shop had one, believe it or not. Here is how I made mine functional:

Go to Kyosho America, look up the part number in the giga crusher parts section and search for it on eBay and in google. I am lazy, or I would do it. You will find one.

BTW, here is the truck now (on the right)-
