My favorite MT! Slowest, oldest and it doesn't run!
I got my holy grail today, a brand spanking new in box, new in plastic, original Blackfoot.
Out of the LST, Giga Crusher, Savage and X-Factors, this is my prized possession. I made some ridiculous stars aligning deal on the thing on eBay and got it for $170 with a NIB era correct radio setup. There is an opened box Blackfoot with replacement tires going on eBay right now for $370 + $50 shipping with bids and it still has five days left.
I would value the truck at around $500. There is a very slight 2" slit in the plastic, otherwise the box and kit is 100% immaculate.
Without further ado...

This one was completely ridiculous. I couldn't believe that the auction wasn't getting more bidders at the end. The moral of the story is to take FULL advantage of seller's mistakes. In this case, it was a woman who was apparantly in the antique sale business and came across this treasure somehow. She didn't/doesn't know that the kit is worth a good 3x over what it went for, and just because of 1 typo on the listing.
Python, I shook it, and it sounds legit so in the plastic it stays. It is already under the bed as a matter of fact!

If I did sell it, I would wait until the Christmas Holiday rolls around. That is when all reason is left at the door and people will throw much more then they normally would to get something like this. I am not in it for the $$$ though.
Maybe when the Blackfoots pull Bruiser type $$$ I will think about it.

Well glad it stayed closed, now get a safe, put in the safe, and 1 of 2 options, 1 bolt the safe under the bed or 2 dig 3 random holes in the back yard and bury the safe!

Dale, you are the epitome of the saying: "Good things come to those who wait, but only what's left behind from those that hustle!" You get some good scores, no doubt. I had a roommate who went to garage sales every weekend with his girlfriend. He bought a Tiffany lamp for $50. It was old. I knew it was worth quite a bit more than that. What surprised me was that it turned out the lamp was unique - it was made by Tiffany specifically for J C Penney and the lamp sat on Mr Penny's desk for more than 20 years! It was worth a fortune (estimated at $10K)! I just about gagged from my envy!
That blackfoot aint no Tiffany, but it is cool as hell!

2--- Even though it's clearly on the box, she spelled it Blackfoote
3--- She misspelled Futaba 'Furtaba'
I looked at the controller that came with it- a MINT brand new Futaba Attack III stick radio with servos, BEC and receiver!!!
