Oh no, here we go again....

I'd love to have a GST and see what it can do, but if it were for ex a friend of mine, my advice would be - it depends what you mean by "bashing"... If it entails a lot of air, I might be wary of the big, heavy GST... If you mean more off-roading, climbing, running over stuff, etc.., then the GST might be ideal.. For big air, flips, etc.. though I would probably recommend the LST2..

Bashing - CEN GST 7.7
Racing - Losi LST

GST is a very nice machine. I really enjoy mine. Love the size, power and durability.

These big heavy CEN's handle the big air better than you would think Patrick.. My buddies Nenesis jumps (and lands) surprisingly well.. and no breakage yet, since the upgraded axles (which the GST already has..)

Probably can't really go wrong with either.. although, if it's for racing, LST2 all the way..

get him to get setup a MSN account, ive suggested the LST to him as the GST has nil part support in australia, this way he gets a radio that dosnt need replacing, a good motor, a great truck, and he can get any part he wants from nitrolst who owns the LST2 aussie chop shop, plus his prices are hard to beat, well see how he goes, either way he should be happy, there both good trucks, and the LST2 is a great basher, takes a huge pounding

14lbs and 17lbs... That's enough of a difference to be a major factor for me. If I was buying a CEN it would be the Nemesis. Since both trucks are based on the same platform, that 3lb difference means better handling and a more durable truck. The Nem also comes with better radio gear and wheels/tires.

Either one would be fine with me personally, cause I'd basically just turn the GST into a 3 speed Nemesis, but comparing stock truck to stock truck... it would be Nemesis all the way for me.

--Back to the original question-- I would go with the LST2. Better handling, better electronics, easier to get replacement parts, there are more hopups available to tailor the performance...

im the one that started the other thread. well i bought the lst2 and love it. its a very solid truck and handles great. cen is a hard company to get parts for at a lhs. losi parts are very easy to get so that helped me choose.

hi guys
i am the one that asked burkes 22 and scottywilkes about which MT i should get, it seems like i am going to have to toss a coin
for both of them i will have to order parts online as the LHS is a joke [&o]
i do like the lst2 for it has elec start and hi/low and good suspension
and the gst has that huge donk 7.7cc and three speed and looks cool
so thanks to all for there input

ps. do both MT wheelie with just Acceleration ? for most of the videos i have seen on the lst2 it does not seem to wheelie easly (sorry losi fans
)

The LST1 wheelied with ease, with stock motor and gearing, and I'm sure the LST2 is better ... The Nemesis doesn't wheelie, so I don't think the GST will, being 2.5lbs heavier..

I would damn sure expect the GST to wheelie - it's got a 3-speed after all... Wheelies are largely about tightening the slipper too.. My LST2 will sometimes wheelie in grass, but as I mostly want to jump, I don't have the slipper set too tight...

Nemesis doesnt wheelie because it has a center diff install that transfer forces to wheels. No other truck has it. SImply bypass it and it will wheelie like no other truck can. My GST wheelies just fine as long as you know what you are doing.

PatrickBW:

Wheelie has nothign to do with 3 speed. And no, Genesis doesnt have slipper. On top of that, LST wheelie in grass in very very different from wheelie on demand like the GST>

My point was, I'm sure I could wheelie on demand if I just tightened the slipper...

And anyway I'll challenge anybody to a "wheely-off"... With my Savage.....

O-shart.. you got me on that one, I completely spaced the center diff, oops [:-] lol..

So, you're saying the GST can wheelie on demand? whenever? and.. having 3 speeds increases the top end and low end, so it should help with wheelies..

ya thats why i suggested the LST to him, as nitrolst, a member on nitrobashers has a LST2 chop shop, and can get any stock part for him and cheap to, wheres as the GST has limited parts support in australia. But either truck is greeat, i got a MGT and there is pretty much no parts support in australia, i got it because it was the truck i liked best, and i get all my parts over seas. So yeah, buy the one u like the most, as u can always get parts online,

Whats some stores that sell GST parts to help the guy out? Thanks
