Default TNX hop-ups for racing?

any suggestions on what parts should be replaced/upgraded from stock TNX 5.2r to be in racing form?

I don't have the 5.2, but I have the 3.0. Start with better tires for the track, a stronger steering servo, a stronger servo saver, and better rod ends for the toe links for now. My 3.0 really didn't need much. I added a wing to rear also. I'm not sure on any shock set up, I hear the stock shocks work ok.

what does the servo saver do? does it strenghten the servo on turns?

No. It kinda prevents damage to the steering servo when the front wheels hit bumps.

The 5.2R comes pretty well equiped stock. You might want to protect the engine head better and play with suspension settings(stiffer springs or damping silicone oil change)to suit your driving preferences.

Also a different tire choice should improve things alot.

The .32 engine is legal for your racing?

A stronger servo saver will give you more consistent steering. The stock one can flex and not allow the servo movement to actually turn the wheels. But only upgrade it if you go with a stronger steering servo with metal gears.
