I got some HB shocks myself. They are a very nice set. I mounted them up the other day. But I haven't had a chance for a test drive. I did find one small problem with them. The springs are about 1/2" longer than stock. In the front the steering drag links hit the bottom of the shock at extreme wheel deflection. The drag links hit right where the spring keeper is. It could knock the spring keeper off. We'll see if it realy is a problem, or I am worried about nothing.

Let us know what oil your using, weight and manufacturer and what the results are.
Oh, by the way I finally got my hyper 8 port broke in, jesus it's spins the tires into pizza cutters. With the Team Orion fresh kicks tires the car does fricken donuts.
Can't wait to hear how it ran.

20 wt and 40 wt was all I had laying around. So I might as well try some 20 and see how it fares.

40 is perfect in monster pirate. 55 was way to stiff and dry was too springy. right jow i have 3 out of 4 blown shock seals so there still dry right now. The savage would need a little lighter because the suspension doesnt have as much leverage with the shocks mounted way out on the arms, so 20 should work pretty well.

Here is a picture of what I am worried about. The draglink makes contact with the spring keeper. Too bad it is raining again. I won't get to try my HB shocks out again.
