Help me Choose a starter box please!
Well the ofna didnt quite fit my buggy so here I am looking for another one.
I'm taking a hard look at OFNA's 10246
"Multi Starter Box"
http://www.ofna.com/starters.html
Its the first one on the left.
I would buy a mugen, but I already have a 12V battery and charger.
Any other recommendations?
Thanks guys!

Ram,
Stay away from the belt driven (and gear reduction) Ofna units! My experience with them to start my Rossi engines is not favorable. The belt has a tendency to skip (and hence wear the pulleys and belt) when there is too much engine resistance (such as with your Black Magic). Make sure you get one with the "airplane starter" in it (like the top right one).

Check this out
http://www.hobby-lobby.com/kavan.htm
Are you talking about something like that?
OR
http://www.ehobbiesoutlet.com/1000-1426.html
If this is it.. how am I supposed to hold the car and start it at the same time?
Wont the torque of the motor move the car if the motor gets "stuck"?

Ram,
This is the style of starter box I recommend.
If your engine locks, you "stall" the starter motor. The heavy duty 12 Volt motor is virtually indestructable.
With your engine (as with any other 21 out there), I would recommend letting the starter motor spool up before bumping the flywheel.
Good luck

What don't I run is a better question. If there's a class for racing, I'm in it. If a class doesn't exist, I invent it.
I should post pics of our local supermod dirt oval class some day. Basically, it's a 1/10 scale open class consisting of shortened 1/8 scale cars. Too much power, too short a wheelbase. Talk about fun.
