Default Aftershock Review Question

Can someone please verify what the February 2007 issue of RC Driver magazine tested the exact top speed of the Aftershock at? (Trying to settle a dispute)

Thanks

Actually, for RC DRIVER, it was the February 2007 issue. Though the article has conflicting top speeds listed. On the opening page of the article it shows the speed is 35.08 mph, but under the radar testing it shows 40.79 mph.

Thanks. I don't know which to believe. I'm sure Losi wants people to see the higher speed though!!

I find 40mph hard to believe... 35 sounds more like it.

Manufacturers use these speed claims to sell vehicles. I just wish they were honest! 30 MPH is fast for something this size. Just out of curiosity though, does anyone have either magazines' tested speeds for any of the main competition? How about the Savage X, MGT, TMAXX 3.3, GST 7.7, and Warhead EVO? I'd love to see the actual "tested" numbers for those trucks too. I started getting RC Driver and RCCA in Aug, so I missed most of these reviews. Thanks again everyone.

I know they have done tests on all those but the only ones I no is the warhead and the tmaxx 3.3. The warhead was 37.2 and the T-Maxx 3.3 was 45.7.

I don't want anyone to misunderstand my post. I'm not suggesting that Monster Trucks are built for speed in the first place. I just always wonder why most of the manufacturers claims are a far cry from real world top speeds. If someone is looking for ignorant speeds, I would assume they should be looking into touring cars or maybe even stadium trucks/buggies. I think that most large MT are geared for torque anyway. Gotta love the "go-anywhere" attitude of the monsters though!
