Default Can't really decide. Need some help.

Hello everyone. I made a post here like a month ago about the cen gst and xtm monster mt. Well, I was going to go with the gst, but it is a bit too pricey. So I thought of the xtm monster mt for a moment. But then I came across with this other truck. The hpi savage x 4.6.

Which one is better, the savage x 4.6 or the monster mt?

I have a mammoth st now, and it keeps breaking and has a lot of problems. Will the monster mt be the same as well? Is the mmt really a other big mammoth? I heard some talk at the global hobby xtm forum and they said that it is like a improved mammoth, just that it is bigger. True? I kind of don't really like xtm, because there vehicles break very easily. When I compare my mammoth st to the monster mt, they looks the same. Both are using flat buggy metal chassis and the center tranny looks the same, just the the monster mt is metal and the mammoth st is plastic.

So is the monster mt is good, or should I go with the savage x 4.6?

Thanks.

I don't think you're understanding.. he said Monster MT (the Mammoth's successor from XTM) not the Monster GT

I don't know about that one... since I've not had any experience with the Monster MT, assuming the Monster MT is probably a similar design as the Mammoth, I would stick with the Savage. XTM really hasn't impressed me much...

I have an MGT and a Mammoth ST with an xtm 457 and I really havent had many problems with either. I know you didnt mention the MGT but it is a good one to look at as well. I have never owned a savage but they are supposed to be extremely durable. I hear good things about the MMT and it sure looks like a beast! Pretty much up to your preference! If you are tired of XTM products, then maybe you shouldnt buy another, but as I said, I have had great luck with mine!

IDK about the one so I can't speak on that but I own a savage X put in the 3spd and it's a lot of fun and can take a big butt kicking and not break. The only thing I don't like is the radio and brakes are not to good but they might have fixed the brakes on the 4.6. The engine runs good on the 4.6 from what some people have told me. I have no problems with my savage but just remember it's not a race truck it's a hard core bash truck. Out on the walk or street it flips over very easy. My savage is the stronger of my trucks.

I see, thanks guys. When I saw you guys was talking about the mgt, well I already have a mgt now. I'm just thinking of getting a other truck. MMT looks huge and the savage x 4.6 looks fun, because I saw videos of it and it can pull wheelies!

The Savage is an excellent truck, you wont be dissapointed[sm=thumbup.gif] But I would suggest buying the K4.6 kit, and selling the stock 4.6 engine. Buy yourself an LRP/Picco .28 for the most fun[8D]

I see. Well, I made my choice. I don't really like xtm that much, so I am going with the savage x.

Thanks guys.

the savage x will go up in price to now because it is acttually dis-continued. so parts for it maybe a little more then expected.
