Default savage transmission and rear end

this guy "idontknow" didnt know how to post in the mt forum so i found this in the regional racers section... dont ask me why, please

ok, i have a few questions. what is the best lube to use for the rear-end? whenever you transmission shifts into 2nd gear, should you be able to hear it? or is there just not enough difference to tell? now this is what i did- i put an O.S.RG w/a 16t clutch bell on it, and don't know if it is shifting so quick that i can't tell, or if it's not shifting at all. can anyone please help??

if u can help either reply or pm "idontknow"
