Default how fast would a hyper 8 port be in a tmaxx?

how fast will a hyper 8 port be in a tmaxx? if the tmaxx goes 40mph+ with a .15 w/1.3hp iam guessing that a .21 w/2.5hp in it will go alot faster than the 2.5. what do u think?

top end speed mostly depends on the max RPM of the engine.

2.5 HP@38000RPM means the engine will have 2.5HP output

when the RPM is 38000.

XTM 24.7 has 2.7HP@28000RPM so XTM has more torque.

it accelerates faster than Hyper in a particular time (like 30 second)

as the time goes on, the car with hyper will be faster than the

car with XTM. of course ,we ingnore other factors.

with some other factors, such as gearing, mass of the car.

the results might be different.

also, with some other factors, the engine might not reach its

max RPM.

it is very complex, i just explained the very very basic of ...

i might be wrong, but not so far from the fact

even the stock savage engine has 30000 max RPM.

but, at the max RPM, it only has 1.7HP.

with XTM, you might wanna use bigger clutch bell to recover

the lack of max RPM.

well thats like saying the 502 you put in your camaro only revs to 5k rpms? who cares. It has torque, that more important than hp. Torque is a factual number, hp is just a generalization of how powerfull the motor is compared to the dispalcment and max rpm. Thats why the bigger engine has more power, because it has bigger displacement. You can achieve more hp by increasing rpm or displacement or both. Like the trx 2.5, thats rpm. The .247 is displacement. The sirio .18 uses both. Bigger than 2.5 and revs higher. i really power full motor would be a .25 that revs to 50k rpms.

Jason, it seems that you like torque too.

your terra crusher is heavy, you better get a high torque engine,

instead of high RPM

It will produce that amout of hp at the given rpm. Not limited to that rpm. My sled puts out 120hp at 7800rpm, but I rev up past 9000 rpm. You get the most usable power at the stated rpm.
