Default New Brake upgrade for Savage!!!!!

I was just wondering if any body has found a good upgrade for the brakes on a Savage. I stripped out the center of mine And I'm not sure if it's because I'm to hard on the brake or the hyper21 is overpowering it. I would prefer a metal replacement if possible I don't want it to happen again.

I don't know that hop up brakes are better I was asking if anybody else knew if they were. The stock brake did work great but the inside of the disk stripped out and I was wondering if anybody knew if the metal one's worked better.

Oh , sorry. I don't know metal one's but you'll find many carbon , fibre and other brakes. (metal for Savage never seen before)

Rex2342, I can feel your pain about your brakes. I have had my Savage for almost a week now and I have already stripped out the hub that the brake disk goes on. I checked on HPI's website about brakes and they had this link on there that had upgraded brake parts, some of which are metal. I'm planning on upgrading to the aluminum brake hub as soon as my wife stops yelling about me spending 400 bucks on another d*mn toy.

lol.... I finally took it apart today to see what was wrong and put on this cool twin brake disc setup I found and guese what.....it was the Hub. So now I'm gonna order the GMP aluminium hub.

If you want the twin disc setup all you need is:

2)#4965 Traxxas brake pads
2)#4964x Traxxas brake discs
2)3mm x 16mm allenhead bolts

I would recamend the Alloy brake hub(since the stock one strips so easily)

Rex, when you get your brake hub, let me know how you like it. I'll probably order mine next week (gotta wait to get paid, ya know).
