Default Tmaxx help

I have a used Tmaxx 2.5r and I threw a extra 2.5 engine in but the crankshaft is almost touching the transmission. Do they make shorter crankshafts for those or am I doing something wrong? Hey I posted this in the Traxxas forum but to no avail I just want some opinions on what you think. I got this tmaxx used cheap.

you sure you used the right mounting holes?
what did the 2.5 come off of?
i've got a 2.5 and a 2.5r and mine are identical - except for head color.
what happened to the carb?

edit
just noticed a couple things in the pics
the blue head means that engine is a 2.5r
it looks like there is a clutch adapter nut on that crankshaft - see if it will screw off.

I have it in the right mounting holes, The carb is off a old revo and I assume it somehow hit the spur gear, I am not sure if it is the 2.5r engine as it was in a bag when I got it. Do you think the chassis is bent one of the chassis braces is cracked.

Looks more like a 3.3 tranny, not a 2.5

Well I got a Tmaxx 2.5r manual with the truck. But in any case it still doesn't fix my problem. I can see on the transmission it looks like something rubbed.

OK, I'm an idiot. When I surf to the Traxxas site, I only see the 3.3 and the "Classic" 2.5. After finding the actual page for the 2.5r through a Google search, I see what you're talking about, that the tranny is the same as the 3.3. My bad.
Maybe the cranks are different between the two as well.
