Well no one can really say anything about the savage considering it just came out. If its anything like the regular savage then it would be hard to beat.

since you said you were going to race, I'd prolly get the LST2, but that new savy is gonna be a siiiick basher! prolly not the best for racing though

You can't go wrong with either. The Savage XL seems to be a larger scarier version of an already excellent truck, and the LST2 has definitely earned its respect. We do have a bit of a losi cult here on RCU so you'll get some highly biased opinions though.

This is just me but the lst2 is a great rc truck and parts are easy to get. This new truck might be a home run but I would give it 6 months before I would buy it.

RE: LST2 VS SAVAGE XL!!!!
i love the muggy but, i want something with more ground clearance, and binaryterror im stripping the gears, and tired of having to replace the clutch every gallon... so the lst2 is fine for me.... and the muggy is an awesome basher but i dont go to the same spots anymore and now i just mostly bash at my friends house with like 3 big ramps (so fun) but the muggy is fun there, but i want more of a monster truck, plus i got a crt.5 rtr for christmas so i no longer need the muggy for racing...

RE: LST2 VS SAVAGE XL!!!!
LST2 is better in my mind. It's a great racer if you set it up correctly, it is really durable and is be really fast w/ that lrp in it! Plus, the savage still has that same bad tank mounting position, isn't even released yet, and (in my opinion) the body is just plain ugly! lol
Stick w/ losi, 3 out of the 4 rc trucks i own are losi... Thats saying something (i've owned a savage, redcat stuff, traxxas stuff, and i still like losi the best =-] ) But dont listen to me, because i'm totally biased lol (but i did have fun w/ my savage... but it really wasn't cutting it)
PS: I might join the club and sell my muggy too. These gear probs are pis**** me off!!! [:@][:@][:'(]
