Default My BR50 Trophy Truck *video

Brand new with HPI Nubz tires and wheels installed.

Those are after bashing it today.

One of several things I'd like to do. [8D]

Drives great and is surprisingly robust. It seems to be set up for track racing, but it took a real beating and didn't break anything. However, the steering servo died on me; I think it got jammed up with dirt. Planning a skid plate w/ bumper and a lightbar on the top of the body.

While this is an awesome truck, some features I'd like to see on it would be a reverse function and a 2 speed transmission.

Looks great, I may have to get one. Yeah a light setup would rock.

I can't figure out how to get the videos from my cellphone onto my computer. I'll have to take the regular camera with me next weekend to get some action footage for you guys.

Try sending the video to your e-mail and then save it to your computer. Then just upload it to somewhere so you can share it.

I did that but my phone sends it in some wierd format that quicktime (or any other program for that matter) doesn't understand. It wouldn't be very high-res anyways. I'll take some video at the end of this week with my good camera so I can throw the file into my editor and use some slow motion effects. I did some high-speed turns and passes on my camera phone and it looked like a real race truck was flying by, but the problem was that it happened so fast you couldn't really tell exactly what had happened.

With the suspension totally bottomed out and the body raised all the way they will barely tap the body. While I'd like a better off-road tread pattern, these work out very well. The wheels fit on the hubs much better than others. Most regular dish wheels fit on the hub in a way that with the steering at full left or right they would hit the bumper (easy fix... cut a peice off of the bumper; the peice to be removed wouldn't hurt it), but these ones mount with the rim of the wheel farther away from the chassis.

I'm getting that CEN trophy truck for sure when it comes out, and I'm thinking about a second one of these to race around with.

It's based off of an existing chassis from another truggy so parts support shouldn't be an issue already.

Yes.

I am off of work through Saturday, so I'll take some pictures and, if I can get my stupid camera to work correctly, I'll get some video of it as well.

I swear, something always happens when I go out.

I go out and my camera gives me a memory card error. I get a new card and it's the same deal; camera's busted. I snag my parent's camera and set it on the charger overnight. I go out with my buddies and have one of em try to take footage of it getting launched, right when the car reaches the base of the ramp the camera says it has no more power and shuts off...

I have those cellphone videos, but they won't play on my computer. It's a .3g2 file extension or something.

I think I may buy a second one today. Ultimate Hobbies has them for about $380.

So far this has been the most durable truck I've owned. I launched it 20+ feet and had it land upside down, which broke my cool fans I put in the body. [] Oh well!

Here's a video of it getting thumped on a bit. I would have had more video of it but all my buddies decided they were done driving RC cars pretty early on in the day. [:'(]

http://www.youtube.com/user/BRed

Those tumbles are nothing compared to what I put the truck through the last time I went out and drove it. I have yet to break a single part on this truck.
