Default Alternatives to paint...

My RC body needs a lot of work. The inside has fiberglass on it for repair jobs and the body doesnt look so hot. Bodies for my vechile are very expensive and somewhat rare, so i'd rather look to alternatives. Some things i'm considering are:

Painting the outside, then adding a layer of clearcode on top

Using some sort of viynl or other graphic to completely cover the body.

If anyone has done something like this i'd love to hear/see it. Thanks!

Default RE: Alternatives to paint...

hmm...well since your posting in the MT forums im guessing its either a 1/12 1/10 or 1/8th scale. if i am correct you can find a proline body to fit just about any MT out there. they come clear and uncut so you can do whatever you want. they are also fairly cheap and durable.

BTW....what vehicle are you running that only lets you have expensive and rare bodies....just curious.

If you still want to keep your body and re-paint it you can paint the outside. i would lay atleast 5 layers of color then another 3 of clear. even then when your on your lid your going to be rippin paint off the body. if you can i would go with a new body.
