Sirio or ? for TMAXX
Hi its me again with another question for some of you more experienced nitro guys. I'm looking for a more dependable engine to bolt on my Maxx that will still be competitive at the track without having to buy all kind of things just to make it fit. I can get the Sirio from Tower on sale for $179 but I don't know if it is legal to use when racing. Does anyone know the regulations for the T-maxx class and if there is any other engine I should look at. I have the same problem as everyone else who owns the 2.5 trx. You would think a company like Traxxas would try and rectify the problems their customers are having with their products. (Stalling)

Most tracks have restriction on size. There is a track near my house that anly allows stock or anything from .12 - .15 and nothing else matters. Then there is anowther track near my house they let you run with any size engine. So you have to check at the track you want to race at. Hope that helps.

If you order a lot of stuff from Tower they give you coupons and each month they have a special if you order more than $175 worth stuff - they give either 10 or 15 dollars off.

I typed the monthly code into the appropriate box the last time I placed an order online with Tower and it didn't give me any discount. Does it apply only if your order totals over a certain amount?

Typically, they have promo codes to save a certain amount off an order of $x.xx.
Common ones are $10 off of orders over $125, $15 off of orders over $150 etc.

They have a super saver club that gives free shipping on orders of $150 or more and they give monthly coupons as someone else mentioned. Not a bad deal for 14.99 a year and they give special offers on newly released merchandise such as with the Sirio I ordered today (179.00 shipped with free batt. worth 23.99 for e-z start). They also send you a flyer with special scratch & dent items before non-members can see on website. Oh, I also got 3 free issues of RC Car Action as well. You tell me if its worth it.
