MGT 8.0 starter back plate problems?
I am breaking in a new MGT 8.0 and the shaft that goes into the backplate keeps falling out. I have tried locktite and no go. It has fallen out a half dozen times within 4 tanks and it exposes the connecting rod. Has anyone else had this problem? Going to call AE tomarrow to see what is going on. From what I have seen so far this thing has GOBS and GOBS of power. It will flip right over anythime. Even while going pretty fast the front comes right up.

Yup, thats a known issue with some trucks. Contact AE, and they will send out the updated backplate.

Called AE and the backplates are on backorder. There are 400 ahead of me. Tech suggested that I use red locktite or epoxy to hold the shaft in until the new ones come in.
