***VIDEO OF MY 60+mph TRAXXAS REVO STREET TRUCK***
Here's a video of my Traxxas Revo Street Truck passing under a platform that I placed about 16" off the ground and set my camera on top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhdRrFzkeK4
The mod list is long and I will probably forget something, but here goes:
-Picco .26 Maxx engine
-THS Racing hard coated tuned exhaust
-20 tooth Robinson Racing clutch bell
-Integy 34 tooth steel spur gear
-MIP clutch shoes
-RD Logics CVD drive shafts (better design than MIP CVD's. I've had both)
-Hardcore Racing Titanium bumpers
-Lunsford Titanium turnbuckles, hinge pins, and push rods
-Integy Titanium brake disc (from dual disc set with stock brake pads)
-Integy Titanium pivot balls
-Integy center skid plate
-Integy servo guards
-Futaba 3PM radio with digital servos
-Proline 2007 Chevy Silverado crew cab body
-HPI Phaltline tires on Tremor wheels
-Traxxas Pink (front) and Purple (rear) springs
-Team Associated 50wt shock oil
-Motor saver air filter
-RPM suspension arms
-30% Sidewinder nitro fuel

Did you get it radared officially? My Savage's top speed is very close to what you have, then again I just installed taller gearing last night so a test run with a vid is in order soon Tom.

Not yet. According to gearing calculations, it should be closer to 65mph. However, there are more variables to factor in than just gearing.

The gearing calculations you have are inadequate, there is a formula which I believe can be found on the On Road forums for top speed. Tires/gearing/engine peak RPM's/drivetrain and many other factors come in. I would say you are running closer to 55mph, that would be believable. As some people stated on the Traxxas forums, it is cool to post a fast truck, but 60mph is a lofty claim and needs to be confirmed before you can go around saying you have a 60mph Revo Tom.

That thing is NOT going 60MPH or over 100KLM p/h let alone 120 klm p/h, LOL how did you come to that speed ? Just a random guess ? If you tell me a radar is telling you what we saw in the video is over 120klm p/h, lm gunna laugh. It looks like its doing about 40 MPH, 45 tops ! LOL ! Speed can be decieving without a radar ! 40 MPH can look like 80 to the naked eye !

I would say its hitting just a tiny bit above 50mph, maybe 53 or so. I'll be testing my truck in an hour or two with a vid hopefully.

If it hits 45+mph with 15/38 gearing and a TRX 3.3 engine, simple math and common sense tells you it will EASILY exceed 60mph with 20/34 gearing and a Picco .26 maxx engine with a THS tuned exhaust which provides more top end than the stock pipe. The truck was not reaching top speed in the video. It needs more space to get that last 5-10mph. Like I said before, it was running rich at 235 and there is more top end available if I lean it out.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but I would seriously laugh my buttocks off if the radar confirms your simple math You can't sub in mathematical figures for real world results, you can get close but there are way too many variables.

According to math, I would hit 67mph with 20/34 gearing if I was running a 3.3 with stock tuned pipe. I'm running a Picco .26 maxx and a THS tuned pipe which allows more top end RPM than the stock pipe, so I think it's safe to say I wouldn't lose 7mph in the real world! This guy hit 57mph with 19/36 gearing and a bad tune! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC1mDQpraZE. Mine is definitely faster when I have space to top it out.

Find a nice flat piece of high way with a good running car a run your RC out in front of the car at 60 mph and make a vidio of that with the odometer on the car in the picture. Just make sure you start filming the vidio befor the car is going 60 MPH Myself and everyone else here would absoultly believe it then

Get a radar dude...thats not 60 at all. Traxxas exaggerates dude, every company does to sell things.
Basing your set up to the stock Revo 3.3 you've added easily a good deal of weight, so your extra power has to now overcome more weight. All these add weight, which hurts speed and eat horsepower.
-Picco .26 Maxx engine
-Integy 34 tooth steel spur gear
-RD Logics CVD drive shafts (better design than MIP CVD's. I've had both)
-Hardcore Racing Titanium bumpers
-Lunsford Titanium turnbuckles, hinge pins, and push rods
-Integy center skid plate
-Integy servo guards
Until you get radar you won't understand. Physics come into play heavily when making bogus claims, its not just gearing that gets you more speed. You still need to know horsepower and torque curves of the motor to verify they will pull that gearing at rated RPM's. Remember a nitro engine makes torque and horsepower in a peaky fashion, so it might Rev to 50,000rpm but it might lose over 50% of its torque and horsepower so it could be slowing down on top end being overgeared.

Steel parts replaced by titanium parts adds weight? I think you need to do some research genius!

Titanium Hinge Pins are only 3-5 grams lighter overall, wow. Titanium Turnbuckles are lighter, but the Traxxas Tubes are even far lighter. Titanium Push rods are also lighter, but again the Traxxas red aluminum ones, still lighter.
Calling me sarcastic names when you post a video showing no proof? Come on buddy, go talk to someone and get this radared, I doubt we'll even see 50mph.

ill be willing to bet its hitting low 50's but come on kid. u cant come in here stating ur truck is doing 60+ mph when u have no proof. did you take into account friction between tires and road? friction in the drivetrain? aerodynamics? simple math aint so simple when u put it out there in the real world.

Like I said before, I would have to lose 7mph in the "real world" to be under 60mph.
