When are Savages going to be available?
Wow my first post. I'v been trying to purchase a Savage 21 NEW kit for weeks now and there are none in the US. As of yesterday LHS and online dealers say 2 weeks. I called HPI and they won't promise a date.
Anybody have an idea. thanks, Dave

You got same answer as I did......2 weeks (mid month now)..thats was 2 weeks ago, lol

mine has been on back order for 2 wks from tower , and you would think a large company like tower would get first dibs?

my lhs has about 6 of them on the top shelf right now.
maybe your lhs didnt place the order soon enough?
if you buy a used one be prepared to have to replace the engine. im not saying you will have to, but if you pay $350 for a used one that is supposed to be in fine working order with " 10 tanks of fuel trough it" and you end up getting a crap engine thats needs a new piston and sleeve or even more work more......your $350 used savage turns into a $400+ used savage.
and you can get one new for that.
man you shoulda made your order with tower before the end of april. they had an awesoem deal on them.

Well guess what!!
I post my first post to car forum, go to my LHS and he gets 1 -Savage 21 in. I had my order in with him for 5 weeks so I'm in the basement now looking at it now <G>. Thanks for all the replys. Dave

i just landed a nib savage with new era skids from front to back, new era tank guard, and big joe 40 series mounted on proline welds, and all stock parts for $450 shipped. the guy even threw in a "used once" nitro rush for buying it so quick.
my advice is watch all the boards to catch the good deals. i found this one at this forum. not as popular as this board but it's more brand specific. that's the key.

no not recieved yet but should be here either today or tommorrow for sure. AND I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! now im thinking about selling the f.25 before i put a drop of fuel in it, so i can get a 8 port.

i almost lost my savage last night..i was at work shoin off and this guy almost ran it over ..i was testing the failsafe and it went out of control.testing wit another radio with the same freq..ithought failsafe will stop the truck but it just went on circles and flew what do you think is wrong with it? ..i was almost ran over too by the same f@#@#@ guy it was like the fast and the furious with the train comin..it just missed it by a hair ..

GOt mine 3 days ago.... Stomer hobby in montana has them in stock. Excellent service, shipped immediately and only $399. When i emailed to confirm avail. after my order, he said they buy em by the truck load and had plenty in stock. Search internet for stormer hobby, savage

failsafe
I thought a fail safe was supposed to put your servos back to a preset setting if you lose radio signal. Trying to check it with another radio with the same freq. (prob not set up the same as your savage one) prob freq'ed(pun intended) it out. I dont know I havent gotten my failsafes yet. But your savage didnt lose the signal just got confusing ones.

thats what i did that night a friend of mine have the same channel as mine so i turned the truck on and my radio of course and then i asked him to turn his radio..my truck just went out of control..the 1st 5 secs u cant rev it the linkages arent movin but after that it went crazy..so icalled ofna told them what happened he told me try changing batts maybe i got low batts and set it like hold the button down for 3 secs while pressin on gas without the engine running just batts..did it and tried it still the same.. i thought failsafes would freeze your car or truck if there is interruption?yes it did for 5secs before i could reach to get it, it went on ..this i did tonight ..so do you think that failsafe will work only when you are out of radius already?i am confused?thats dangerous if my savagegot confusing signals right?

Did you set your failsafe??
You have to set them to what you want them to do when your truck looses signal. Most set it to go to full brake and that is how mine is set up but, I had to set it.

If another radio with the SAME frequency as yours was turned on, failsafe will not work. The moment you off your freq, the receiver will pick up the other freq and thus cause erratic behaviour. The only time a failsafe MIGHT work is when you lose radio transmission, but even then it just might not
