Famous people in RC?
Does anyone know if there are famous people into rc cars/Trucks? I know that Ben Wallace of the Detroit Pistons is involved with Nitro MT's and Touring cars. They had a special on the news about a month ago and from the looks of it, he sounds like he knows what he is talking about and from what they said, he is a good racer. Anyone in the Detroit Area seen Ben Wallace at the track? Anyone know of any other famous people/atheletes in RC?

javier lopez who does or used to play for the braves was into r/c planes.
one of the IRL driver is into planes ...they did 5 min clip on him at the time trials for the indy 500 last weekend and he was flying it around

I heard about DMX too... but I know about a year or two back, a bunch of the Oakland A's used to run their r/c at the coliseum after games and during practices or whatever..

a bunch of nascar guys are into RC. I saw a bit on a show where they were setting up a race during some down time.
I must say, they are lucky they dont drive there full scale cars like they did those trucks because they seemed to be on their roof more then on the tires.
oh, and they were all crying foul (playfully) because one of the drivers (I think it was micheal waltrip) picked up a gas powered and they were all using electric.
I also think bill elliot fly RC planes and helis.

A Customer of mine who works for Nascar told me that most of those guys are big fans of Onroad 1/8 scale cars especially Serpents.
She didnt know much but she said they prolly like the RC stuff more than the real deal!! lol

isn't the group b2k or whatever into them. I think one of them drives a serpent. And also I saw DMX in a magazine and he had a nitro tc3. I guess he has alot!!

B2K does have Serpents, and I saw them with a few T maxxs as well on a house show where they toured thier house and showed off (b2k) Their toys. They had atleat 10 rc cars and trucks.
