Default Help!

OK i was running my tower terror rc truck and i was letting it cool down ( i have the spinning starter instead of the pull) i put it in and when i click it it tries to turn on and all i hear is it spinning and like one bump trying to start, so i took the glow plug out and i spin it and i hear one bump not constanty and just spinning, what should i do?i took it apart the nuts are toching the starter and still nothing what is the problem?im not realy sure how to explain but i just dont hear it pumping or whatever it does

sounds like your one-way bearing is shot. pull the starter plate off and replace the bearing. for a temporary fix, you could try soaking it in denatured alcohol until you get a new one.

what is the berring the nut? what goes into the starter plate?or the long thing you put the nut or berring on?

the one-way bearing is the nut that slides onto the crankshaft that sticks out of the backplate. the reason it's turning over once, and then you hear a slipping noise is because that bearing is slipping. it may look like nothing is wrong with it, but i guarantee you that's the problem.
