Default RTR Traxxas E-Revo Brushless Edition with Castle Electronics & 2.4GHz!

Traxxas is on a role today. Here is the Revo Brushless Edition... Comes with the Mamba Monster System, RTR with a 2.4GHz TQ4 radio?!!

This is pretty friggen sweet!

Looks good, about time Traxxas dumped the TQ3.

It'll probably be a pricey combo but it's all good stuff.

The only 2.4GHz radio in existence without dual rate steering or end point adjustments... I think Traxxas should have put an extra $5.00 into the budget per radio to get EPAs, dual rate steering and a redesigned case.

I am quite surprised that they didn't attempt to use their OWN VXL setup for the brushless edition. I guess the VXL is probably a bit light duty for what they were trying to do.

Yeah, a single Velineon 3500 isn't enough for a monster truck, and 2 would require 2 ESCs and be needlessly expensive.

Quite frankly it's fine with me, might as well take advantage of the strengths various manufacturers have to offer.

All hail the all knowing RC brushless motor guru. Honestly, why is that information relevant to this discussion? Rebranding and reselling is nothing new. Castle brands it, Castle sells it, it's a Castle product.

It's been known for a long time that the motors with the Castle MMM combo were going to be designed by Neu.

Traxxas even calls it a Neu on their introduction.

I thought it was needed because Neu is well known in the electric 1/8th scale buggy world. I'm trying to post good things about this truck.

I hope to have one.

Tower has it listed at $900+ but that doesn't mean nothing...The PE revo was listed at $1200 and it went down to $650.

It's going to have to be the price of the normal e-revo plus something like $150. or $200. at least.

I wonder if the controller is DSM1 / DSM2 or FAAST - compatible or is it yet another 2.4GHz format?

Horizon's got it up for a street price of $690, which isn't bad, considering usual cost of a brushless E-revo of this power is immense.

thats not bad since the e revo cost 400+ and the cc system is about 300
And a 200 dollar controller.
Considering i would sell the controller and you use the money on something else.
