Default Nothing beats a good tuned pipe!

But, I can't say that this is one of them! If your going for dual exhuast someone on this forum said that they like the one from Barnburner! He said that it did give his Maxx a boost and it looks alot better then the one from Slimline! You can find them on Ebay! Here is a search number 3133763962

All those rear exaust "pipe" systems (Like pictured above) are crap and will hinder performance and are loud. They're a waste of money, trust me. Look how the pipe is. You won't get back pressure and the way the pipe attaches to the engine, the gunk will get stuck and won't be able to exit the tips.

If you want your exaust to come out of the back, check out the CVEC system. You can use a normal pipe with it. I searched the CVEC site but I couldn't find it. If I find a picture, I'll post it.

Default Although this may be the case with most of the dual exhuast systems,

This one is "supposed" to have the right amount of back-pressure!
There is a post in this forum from someone that has one of these on the Maxx and he says it worked great!

Here is his quote from that post!

"I have this exact pipe on my 2.5. Had to replace exhaust coupler to a heavy duty and longer one, stock one tore; tuning had to be changed and took a little getting used to the new sound and understanding how the motor was reacting to tuning. But once I got it, it runs GREAT. It is MUCH faster out of the hole and I have run this next to my buddies "stock" 2.5 I smoke him and can pull wheelies at will. Not to mention how cool this thing sounds now. And for those that mention back pressure, BarnBurner pipes have a back pressure device, they are not straight thru pipes like many others out there, just an FYI. SO I saw throw it on, tune with patience and you'll love it."

superchomper200:
If you are looking for a rear exhaust kit or conversion without going with a Cvec or the new slimline dual exhaust I came across something you might like on ebay this afternoon.

2.5 Rear Exhaust Conversion Kit

Looks to be a simple yet effective way of making a rear exhaust out of the stock tuned pipe on the 2.5 T-Maxx or Sportmaxx

I have the slimline, I love it. It does pull wheelies, and has the same top end. It fit's like a glove, no pipes all around your truck.

Do you find that the extra length of header significantly change the power curve ? I found that the engine developed much more low end but the top end is not that good ? And it overheat ?

I belive super chomper was talking about this Slimline exhaust system.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEPJ3&P=7

It is quite a bit less than the MIP t-maxx dual exhaust, I also would like to know if anyone has it and/or if it is any good.
