Thinking about buying this truck.
Last time I was here I was helped really well with a RC heli I bought, anyway I got my old RC truck going the other day but its pretty stuffed and not looking the best so I have decided to upgrade to a gas truck, ive shopped around and found this one on ebay.
Seems pretty cool and there is heaps of spare parts for it and upgrades, just wanted to get your opinions on it thats all.

RE: Thinking about buying this truck.
Im from Melbourne as well, im in the Glen Waverly area. Where abouts are you located?
I would definitely not buy that rc, because to be honest they are sh1t. I used to have one of these 'Chinese knock-offs' as people used to call it on this forum, mine was a 1/10 electric monster truck. They are REALLY weak, i stripped a servo by softly hitting a big rock. If you break something, which will happen often, it is usually hard to get a new part because there is only one hobby shop in Melbourne that sells spare parts for these rc's, and most of the time spare parts are not cheap. Especially because it is a nitro you have more things on it, so you have more to break. $407 is a rip off. I bought my Savage used, only had about 1.5 litres run through it, not a scratch on it, plus had about $200 worth of spares for $370. A new one cost around $700.
So, please dont buy this rc and save up for:
HPI Savage X
Losi LST2/XXL/Aftershock
Thunder Tiger MTA-4
Team Associated MGT 3.0
Traxxas Revo
These guys have good prices and a lot to choose from:
http://www.*********.com.au/store/in...05ac53c612a90c
They are in Sydney but anything over $400 is free shipping. I would mostly consider the Team Associated MGT 3.0 if you dont want to spent too much. It is a great truck from what i have heard, i havnt heard anything bad about them.
Have a look around on ebay to see if there is anyone from melbourne who is selling any of those above (used as well). Only a place where you can got to and have a look at the rc and possibly drive it to make sure you are not getting ripped off.

RE: Thinking about buying this truck.
Definitely look at what Damo posted up. And you dont necessarily have to go with a Savage, LST2, or MGT, you can buy the Losi Aftershock which is about the same price, but has a much more structurally supported chassis.
Look at the Losi Aftershock chassis from the side and compare it to this truck, and you will see the Aftershock has much more support. And it will also take alot too.
For a budget, the Aftershock is a really good deal.

RE: Thinking about buying this truck.
ok,im still kinda new to this hobby (2yrs racing buggys,5yrs bashing) but for gods sake DONT buy a non-name brand RC there is no other hobby where this is more true.i own a revo but love all these great trucks so buy the SAVAGE! you will love it.if your just bashing its one of the best big trucks for a newbie.its tough, fast, loud, and MEAN.the nitro stampede is cool and all for 320$ but my 4yr old brothers run those, they get boring quick.just my .02 centsjosh

RE: Thinking about buying this truck.
Definitly get a Savage, or even an LST or MGT if you have the money.
But as I said before, a Losi Aftershock is about in your price range and it is such a tougher truck than the other cheaper RCs.
