Stock Revo to Racing Revo
Hey guys,
I have the first version of the 3.3 Revo. I got it 2 years age and have used it on and off for that amount of time. I am thinking of turning it into a racing truck and had a few questions. First electronics, I just bought a 2 channel Spektrum radio and was wondering do I need to get a 3 channel because I have a reverse or should I screw the reverse and get a foward only conversion, also should I get a single steering servo and save the weight, or leave the two I have in there. Also tires, what is the best for a dirt/clay track? What else do people normally do to their suspension (shocks, suspension tuning etc...) Is there anything else that I could do to save weight and add speed, what do you hardcore Revo guys do to make your trucks light and fast. Thanks, I appreciate any help!

RE: Stock Revo to Racing Revo
Well it depends on how serous u want to b about yor racing.
Either way get rid of the reverse, ez start. Opi drive stuff
wires, that a start. Put in the FOC. 17mm hubs so u can
run some proline truggy wheels with crimefightrs or
wholeshots. And don't forget a wing. There alot more, but
that wil get u going on the track. Oh, either go
with a bumb box starter or a roto start for the motor.
I've been racing my revo now for a couple of year. And
picked up some trophies. So I could help u along your
way.

RE: Stock Revo to Racing Revo
Thanks so much for the advice. What about the steering servo(s)? And the radio, is the Spektrum DX2S ok? I just bought it. Iwant to keep the 3.3 engine because I had to replace ith recently due to me driving it into a lake. so that is at the bottom of my list, but the electronics/wheels/suspension is definetly something im going to do in the next week or so. Thanks for such a fast reply!
