Don't ever stop bashing because of a broken part again!!!
Well, I was out messin around with my E-maxx, and it landed on it's side off of a 5 foot jump. Needless to say, I broke my front skid plate and bulkhead , but there is good news! I went home pi$$ed off because I didn't have any money to buy new crap, so I took an old solering tip, and melted the piece together, when it was melted together I took an old zip tie and used that as 'solder'. Went back out and it's still holding strong! It may not look pretty, but if you out just to have fun, this is the way to go! I wouldn't reccomend doing this on race day though, just for the simple fact that it might mess up your set-up.

A Home-made Plastic Weld Gun!!! Sounds Cool!
No good if you have upgraded to those Aluminium parts though.
So, plastic parts do have their good points.

Hi Me+RC=$$$
It is fun reading all these forums, and I have picked up some really usually hints & interesting things.
Just got back into RC after a very long absent. It's been over 10 years since I last picked up my Futaba Attrack 2. In fact, I put the same radio control set back in my recently purchased Kyosho Dodge Ram. OK, I did have to get a new steeling Servo.
By the way, what do you have to do to become a Senior Member? Just curious.

RC history
1981 - 1/12 Tamiya Cecila with Plastic body shell & Sandwich rubber front types. The Body was picture prefer but smashed it to pieces on my first run.
1991 - 1/10 Tamiya Mad Cap Electric Buggy. Had so much fun racing with & getting beaten by kids much younger than me. :-P
2003 - 1/10 Kyosho Dodge Ram with QRC. Shame I cannot get any friends to pick up RC as a hobby. I am soooo alooone.

Hello Friends from Singapore,
You are not going to believe this but I used to live in Singapore. In fact, I lived not far from the East Coast Track. I have live there for 5 years.
Where do you guys go bashing in Singapore?

If you're willing to go through the trouble of melting plastic you might want to check out JB Weld. It's easy to find in the US & it's unbelievably strong. You can even drill, tap, machine or grind it after it dries.

We normally go to the dirt track at Woodlands but I normally just bash around my neighbourhood... there're 2 big fields there and it's lots of fun... however, no big jumps though
EMaxx parts can be gotten from Rotor at Chinatown. That's where I get most of my TMaxx parts.

There are 4 official languages over here and I don't think you wanna know all of them... anyhow, pluto seems like a real smashing place to RC... dirt and sheer cliffs and nobody to complain about the noise

Hello Friends from Singapore,
I know perhaps I should start a new thread about this, but being new to this. I thought I would just carry on here since I have your attention already. So, is Rotor in Chinatown(Singapore) a good place to buy RC? The only place I know is a couple of shop near Centre-Point.
Looks like I will be visiting Singapore again soon, and will probably have to spend a few weeks there as well. I am thinking perhaps I can spend my free time putting a new truck together at the hotel after work. I wonder if the prices are cheaper than Hong Kong. Tamiya TC is US$430, Savage 21 is US$380 without radio & T-Maxx is US$430. But of course, some of these trucks are RTR. How much would a Kyosho Baja Beetle cost in Singapore I wonder? Any ideas? May be we can go bashing together after all!!! :-)
