I went to my LHS and I picked up my brand new 2.5 traxxas t-maxx!! It is so freakin' awesome, it was even bad***** during the break-in!! this is my 3rd r/c model (i was gonna say car but this isnt a car!) I have an oval racer, a traxxas rustler with an o.s. .15 cv, and now my t-maxx! my friend owns the pro .15 t-maxx with no hop-ups. man thats just crazy! mine is gonna look so awesome when im done with it!! :rainfro:

no temp gun, is it possible to get it close enough using the water drop method. If it evaporates in less than 1 second is to hot, 3 seconds just right, anything longer is to cool.

i can relate to your story. last week i walked out of my lhs with a $500 hole in my pocket. it felt good i love my tmaxx. i had a few flooding problems but i know how to clear flooded engines so its all good. i started tuning it last night and trust me leaning it out some will definitely make it run better. rich is good for more life, but it can be a waste of fuel. a fairly safe way to be rich but not too rich or lean that i use is to tune it til it stops sputtering liquid fuel out of the exhaust stinger. i do that and lean it out maybe 1/16 more and im a happy camper
