Default Alum. knuckles breaking my wheels

Hi, i got a problem with the aluminum knuckles chipping off the inside plastic spokes on my wheels. 2 already cracked through.

I was wondering if i should get alum. wheels or put the plastic knuckles back on to fix this problem.

Anyone have this trouble before let me know what you did.

Look at the "shimming" and the "tires" threads. I replied in both of those to your questions.

Umm it has nothing to do with your knuckles, its a sure sign that you need to CHANGE THE WHEEL BEARINGS, and or replace the wheels hexs!! Ive been down that road!!

Here is what i need:

http://rpmrcproducts.com/products/tr...s/Knuckles.htm

Stepped front surface to prevent plastic wheels from hitting the axle carrier under high cornering & jumping loads.

The stock Tmaxx wheels are holding up quite well though with only a slight chipping on the spokes.

Anyone have the proline velocity wheels (white/yellow dish) I was curious what the inside of the wheel looks like and how strong it is reinforced. Also if it could handle the weight. (all alum)

What hexes are you using? What wheels? Have you tested more than one company of wheels?

Bearings do not change the spaceing, they simply allow the drive shaft to spin alot smoother in the knuckles(not allowing the wheel to wobble like worn out bearings will!! THe only things that can fix your wheels from hitting the knuckles:

-new bearings
-new plastic or aluminum wheel hex's
-or 6mmx8mm shimms to go in fornt of pins that the hexs slide on!! This is the only way to extend the wheels from the knuckles without going to offset hex's!!
