Which engine??

Hello everyone, I was wonder what engine in your opinion would be the best for the old tmaxx. I will be racing somtimes at the local track but other times I will just want to bash with it. I would also like it to be a direct drop in so I dont have to mess around with it and I would like it to be easy to tune. Thanks a lot in advance. P.S. is there any engine besides a .21 that can beat a .18 fantom racing engine in a sportmaxx???

OLD tmaxx? EPIC .18 is a direct drop in i heard, and its what i am getting for my Terra Crusher this week. 1.8 HP with 39000 RPM. EPIC also makes great electric engines and godly matched packs so i take these readings as pretty darn accurate.

thats because its almost putting as much power as the sirio and as much as the fantom if im correct, and its only a side exaust! EPIC is a great brand, i have had great experiences with them in electric, now its time for nitro.

Regarding that engine:

"Standard threaded shaft (must be cut for use in T-Maxx)"

Stats sound good. But be careful when cutting the shaft. dont wanna mess up the threads!!

I had a guy who badly messed up his motor. On top of that, I think he had some sand inside his engine because he never did get it to work after a new piston/sleeve. Thankfully he only paid like $40 for it because of some deal.

anyway, when you take your engine apart, I would spray it down with Brake cleaner.. or something.
WARNING: Solvents will probably dissolve grease in the bearings!

I put the Epic .18 in my Terra Crusher last week am an very impressed. The crank did have to be cut, I used a dremel and had no problems. The electric start, flywheel, clutch etc. are all direct fits.

Take the flywheel and clutch off the old engine, measure how far the crank sticks out and transfer this dimension to the new engine and cut it. Use a small file to deburr the threads and you're all set.
