Complete newb here
 

Hey I browsed around a little but didn't see anything, maybe I missed it. But I'm looking for some beginner advice. I have 0 experience with RC building but my son, loves RC cars, so I was looking at a beginner build we could work on. I'm also kinda hoping to find something cheap to start with, that we can upgrade a little a time if that's possible. Hoping to find something around 200 or less. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Too bad ECX & Horizon Hobby decided it would be best to do "in store only" RCs...so sad. I always liked the AMP as a starter RC to get to build a little bit. If you got a Horizon Hobby store near by... awesome.

Kits are, unfortunately, not the norm, and finding a good entry level hobby grade RC kit has slim pickings.
