savage 25 throtle question
I just got a savage .25 (the ss was on backorder for 2-3 more weeks) Any way imediatly after i got it i replaced all the radio gear to the gear that came with my jr xs3 well the questioon i have is when i start the truck i can get it to go but as soon as the throttle opens up it sticks so i shut off the radio gear and let the fail safe stop the truck the only prob was that it was still runnin wide open and the throttle wouldnt close so i switched servos to sf1 that came with the truck and same thing only it wouldnt let the failsafe work any ideas how to fix this?

RE: savage 25 throtle question
idk i would try to put the stock receiver in it to see if ur receiver is junk but i wouldnt expect that from JR but i would try that and check ur linkage to the pull to see if it turns fine.

RE: savage 25 throtle question
There is a return spring attached to your carb isn't there?
I'm guessing it's the kinda thing that *could* be overlooked, but I wouldn't expect that from HPI still... The only thing that closes the carb again on mine is a chunky spring attached to the little notch where the throttle linkage attaches at one end, and the HSN at the other... |
RE: savage 25 throtle question
I found the problem it was the linkage tha is screwed to the tvp when I put it all back together I tightened it as tight as it would go and the spring wasnt strong enough to return it losened it up a bit and she screams and stops now

RE: savage 25 throtle question
I never really had a problem with mine - maybe it's a slightly different version...
