help a guy out plz!

I live in Canada and the temperature is around 10*c here. Would the factory settings on my trx 2.5 be a little on the lean side or would it be alright?

Thanks

You have to figure it out yourself. Every engine is a little different. Put some spit on the head, if it sizzles off right away you are to lean. It should slowly evaporate in 5-10 seconds. That is a good temp.

One of the best investments you can make is a temp gun. If you plan on staying in the hobby, it will be money well spent. It takes the guess work out of it. So instead of this.. [:o] you get this.. :D

Keep the Nitro flowing dude!

I have a temp gun - They are great. Recently bought a 2nd one. The Duratrax Temp gun from Towerhobbies.com. I also have a Raytek.

They both are just as acurate no matter what everyone tells you. For 25 bucks it is good investment.

You shouldn't base everything on the temperature of your engine. Sure, it is a good way to help tune, but there are better ways. I would richen it up a hair to be on the safe side. Take this for example. If you have a really good cooling head, you could be way too lean, and have temperature readings of around 250. When you are lean, your engine is getting wrecked each time you drive it. Just my opinion man! Snow driving rocks! :D

I just ordered a temp gauge and it is on the way but how do I tell if it is running good with a temp gun? if it doesn't overheat?

When it is running good, temps stay consistent, the engine is easy to start and produces good power with a good smoke trail, and it sounds right. The temp readings should be consistent, not all over the place.
