Savage or T-Maxx?????

I have mostly been hearing lately about the Savage 25. But have looked around a bit and found the T-Maxx. What are the positive and negative things about both trucks. These are the two trucks I have narrowed it down to and will eventually buy one. I want to both bash and do a little track racing with the truck. What are the positives and negatives about these two trucks
Please post your knowledge about both trucks.

they both are great, it all depends on you

tmaxx is faster
savage is tougher

but with some lil modifications for the both, they can be awesome truck all around, just choose one and buy it

the t-maxx IMO should be put to rest it's getting out dated and the newer trucks are much more durable.

I love my Maxx's now that they have .21 size engines in them so my advice is to get something that alreay has a .21 or bigger in it. The Savage is a good choice as is the MGT and the Mammoth! Get what ever looks good to you as you are the one flipping the bill![8D]

I love both trucks. The savage is more durable, but isnt quite as agile. I like driving my sons 2.5, it is very fast, wheelies really well, and steers excellent. Its also VERY light. I enjoy them both. Right now would be an excellent time to pick up a new or used maxx. After the Revo announcement, you should be able to pick up a very nicely modded maxx for next to nothing.

I'd say get the savage. It will be much less work in the end.I have both and the maxx is just to fragile.I've put at least 750 in the maxx and its still not as tough as mym savage which is stock as far as durability upgrades. If you plan to bash much at all buy the savage. If you'll be mostly(like 90%)on the track get the maxx.Either way I'm sure you'll have alot of fun.

I bought them both and like them both. Savage is more durable and a little harder to tune. T-Maxx is faster, turns better, but much more fragile.

I've decided I'm going to wait a-while before I buy either one of these trucks. I want one new and even though I have the money, I do not want to waste it. Around the end of the summer I'll start looking for either truck again when the prices are down.

RE: Savage or T-Maxx?????

Sorry about the double post [:o] I have a question for the savage owners. I know the T-Maxx is obviously more fragile and better for track racing, but the savage....it's a good basher and more durable, is it still any good for track racing. Because I not only want to just hang around the house and bash it, I would also like to do some track racing. Is the Savage any good on the track????

Thanks 4 the help--Evader 53

I don't see the Savage as being that race worthy compared to what's coming out in the near future, such as the LST and Revo. I'd also choose an MGT over a Savage in terms of racing due to its lower center of gravity. The MGT's engine isn't as good as the Savage, but that's easily hopped up.

Yes, you can dial a savage in pretty darn good for a track. I've had mine on the track many times. If you get one, shoot me a PM, i'll give you some setup tips for the track with a a savvy.
